Bhaktavatsalam Naidu, who hails from a small village Modhugulapalem near Tirupati belonged to a middle-class family. Caught up with a dream of being with an actor at a very young age, this man did all he could do to reach up there. Introduced with the screen name "Mohan Babu", he started off his career in the movies with his debut in the movie Swargam-narakam in the year 1975 under the direction of his cult "guru" Dasari Narayana Rao. Garnering praises for all the roles he played, Mohan Babu never looked back since then.
Be it a nefarious villain, or a witty comedian.. be it a superhero or a remarkable character artist, he has given to the industry some iconic movies that remain in the hearts of hundreds of his fans.

He was identified for his philanthropy and his slice in providing education and was awarded Padmasree by the government of India in the year 2007. Not alone does he strive to work for the industry, his children Lakshmi, Vishnu, Manoj are famous actors too.
